Last week HTXO teach us everything we need to know about backpacking. It’s time to get outside and put it in practice.
Last week HTXO teach us everything we need to know about backpacking. It’s time to get outside and put it in practice.
We will go to the Big Sandy Creek Unit of Big Thicket National Preserve. We will hike the Woodlands Trails, a 5.4 miles trail in a mature forest.
In total we may hike up to eight miles- 5 to 6 miles on Saturday to find the perfect spot and then the way back on Sunday.
It’s the perfect time since rifle hunting season haven’t started and isn’t too cold, which mean no extra gear and weight. This is considered an entry level backpacking trip.
Consider carrying all the water you need- there are no good water sources.
