We’re staying adjacent to Garner State Park with riverfront access on the Rio Frio
There are hiking and biking trails, private river frontage, 1000’s of stars and room for everyone. It’s “rustic” (don’t expect mints on the pillows) and comfortable. The property has several cabins of varying sizes scattered around with kitchenettes, coffee pots, microwaves and riverfront porches. There is no shortage of bathrooms. Please feel free to also bring your own coolers.
.
We do our best to help people find roommates if you need one, if you know who your roomies will be email us amyhope@htxoutdoors.com and we’ll help make sure the rooms fit the people.
.
We serve dinners and breakfast items are laid out to grab as you go out the door to whatever adventure you have planned for the day (talk about that a little more below).

Dinners and breakfast foods are included in the price – that is Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and Friday, Saturday Sunday mornings. We also put some lunch “fixins” out if you want to grab a sandwich to go for the day.
We have some Members who are amazingly talented in the kitchen and on the grill so expect to be full and happy after dinner and ready to hang out under the stars. And yes, we do ask everyone to pitch in and help somewhere.

Prior to the weekend, there will be numerous events posted on the Calendar for the weekend. These events include hiking in the area and Garner State Park & Lost Maples State Park! Biking in the area. Rock climbing in the area. Swimming and kayaking from our private riverfront. Sightseeing all around the area, from Bandera music nights, bluebonnets in the pastures. Wine tasting & whatever else we can rustle up!
.
PLEASE – Bring your own linens. There will be comforters, pillows, and blankets but we do need you to bring your own linens and “beach” water towels.
.
In addition to the events that are posted on the calendar, there is a whiteboard that is used for last-minute events, event changes, event ideas, pretty much anything to do with events…….
.
Events will spring up on the spur of the moment, people will choose to just hang out at the swimming hole all day and some will go all-in on all the events.
With 2.9 miles of Frio River winding through 1,774 acres of scenic Hill Country terrain, the park offers lots to see and do! Float or paddle the Frio River, and hike 11 miles of scenic trails. You can also play miniature golf, geocache and ride bikes. Take a virtual tour with the Interactive Trails Map
It is whatever works for you.

New to HXO or just never made it to the “Rock Out Weekend”?
Here’s a quick overview of what the fuss is all about. The name comes from originally renting a house to do a bike ride to Enchanted Rock (the rock) and back. But, we got to the house and no one really wanted to ride that hard, it was more of a hey let’s just chill and enjoy the Hill Country……..
Every year more people came and we had to find bigger houses. For while we were at Flat Creek Ranch, 500 acres of our own ranch in the middle of the Hill Country, but this year we are doing something new – on the Rio Frio and next to Garner State Park for ROW#1
