Public – Hiking in Houston does exist! And we’re going to show you by taking you on some ‘hidden’ trails that even some native Houstonians don’t know about! And, it’s right here, inside the loop! Join us for an hour and a half, quick-paced hike through some of the lesser-known (and more adventuresome) trails our park has to offer.
This is a perfect birding hike for a newbie or a birder with years of experience.
For the newbie, it’s just a hike with friends where you’ll see lots of birds. You can learn about them or not, up to you. For the experienced birder, with 5,000 acres of wilderness you never know what might decide to pay a visit! You don’t even need to be a birder if you just want to come out and enjoy a leisurely hike. Of course, birds are by no means the only wildlife we will see!!
Just an hour and 15 min north of downtown, Huntsville State Park offers some great hiking!
Join us in a morning walk on Terry Hershey park along the Buffalo Bayou. In this hike we will visit the Edith L. Moore Nature Sanctuary, Houston Audubon Society.
HTXoutdoors & Houston Arboretum are partnering for the full moon hike. Members of HTXoutdoors and the Young Professionals of the Houston Arboretum will have exclusive access to the Arboretum at night!
