Backpacking the Lone Star Hiking Trail
Let’s hike the Lone Star Hiking Trail, the longest, continuously marked and maintained path in Texas. This is a moderately difficult, 96.1 miles path with some 30 miles of additional loops and crossover trails. The trail sits in the Sam Houston National Forest. We will pass extensive areas of pine trees, palmetto swamps, and cross a multitude of creeks and streams.
