Farmer’s Market Bike Ride

This is a very social ride (we chat a lot) and all levels of riders are welcome.

Support local farmer’s markets while getting a leisurely bike ride in!  Grab a coffee from Onion Creek before we start and the pedal your way to fresh produce, homemade jams, local oils and infused vinegar.  Plus cheese, breads, fruits and vegetables!  Live music and food to eat during our break.

Bring a backpack to carry you goodies back; it can be dangerous to let plastic bags dangle from your handle bars… don’t want them to end up swinging into your tire!

No bike? No problem!

You can pick up a bike from a B-Cycle kiosk around town. Check their map and info here: http://houston.bcycle.com Or go to one of your local bikes shops like: Bike Barn -@http://bikebarn.com/, Planetary Cycles @ http://planetarycycles.com/, or Houston Cycling Centres @ http://northwestcyclery.com/.

If you are a member of HTXoutdoors we can loan you a bike for the ride. But you MUST call the office 2 weeks in advance to arrange for the loaner bike.

Meet at Onion Creek, 3106 White Oak Dr, Houston, TX 77007. Please DO NOT Park in the Onion Creek lot – there is parking on the surrounding streets but look out for ‘no parking’ signs.

The event is open to older kids who have good bike handling skills. Please note – we will be riding on some busy Houston streets.
