Galveston Island Hike & Beach Day

Join me for a 5-6 mile hike on the Bay Side of Galveston Island State Park.

This park has a $5 per person entrance fee, unless you are a park pass holder.

Check in on the ocean side, where the ranger station is to get your day pass. Then meet us for the hike at the nature center parking lot, located on the bay side.

There can be a bit of a line sometimes when it’s hot, so give yourself enough time.

This State Park has an ocean side and bay side. You will check in at the main park entrance. Sometimes they have the booth open, and sometimes you will need to wait in line at the ranger station so be sure to leave yourself enough time.

We will hike a little over 5 miles between a 22-25 mile pace. The hike will take us over boardwalks, marshes, and an observation tower.

After the hike return the the ocean side of the park. Bring your lunch if you like. Weather permitting I will hang around on the beach to swim, make sandcastles, and enjoy the beach.
