Kayak Polo & Kayak Rolling Practice

Marco…Polo! It’s not quite like that childhood pool game we remember; instead, picture a mixture of water polo, kayaking, lacrosse and possibly quidditch (Harry Potter style) with a volleyball!

Haven’t played before? Well, get ready to have an incredible time! Kayaking pros or wannabes, this is a fun way to practice or finally learn your kayak roll? Don’t worry, we’ll be there Baywatch style to save you if needed!

Kayak Polo (aka: water hockey) is a game where teams paddle in a pool, chasing a volley ball looking object, in order to try to make goals in the opposing teams net. It sounds quite silly, but we promise it’s a whole lot of fun. In general, we spend more time cracking up than scoring goals. (If you don’t know how to roll have no fear we’ll teach you how to wet exit.)

Stick around after, because what’s the only thing better than water polo sweaty fun…grabbing a beer afterwards at BJ’s Brewery, of course!

In order to partake in this event, you must pre-register via our website. This helps us how much boat and kayak gear to bring.

This event is $15 for HTXO members and $18 for guests. $5 cash is needed for insurance if you are not an ACA member.

Important Insurance Information

We must carry insurance to play. We are insured by the awesome American Canoe Association. If you are an ACA Member bring your card – insurance is free for ACA members. If you are not an ACA member, you must bring $5 cash – that is the cost of your insurance.
