Labor Day Weekend Kick-Off Concert
Take advantage of your long Labor Day weekend and kick the festivities off with a free concert in the park! Come out and challenge a friend to giant Jenga or enjoy a friendly match of cornhole, then settle in for a dance party on the lawn as Houston’s own, Asli Omar of the Tontons, spins a great DJ set starting at 6 pm, followed by a live performance by rising indie pop-rocker, Walker Lukens!

As always, food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome. Outside alcohol is not allowed to be brought into the park; however, beer and wine are sold at the Niko Niko’s on-site along with delicious Greek and American food. The Historic Market Square neighborhood is home to a variety of other restaurants that also provide take-out food service.
If you haven’t had Frank’s Pizza… it’s a must! Great NY Style pizza next to the park. Warren’s has good deals on drinks and if it’s just too hot still, we can head around the corner to OKRA, the charity bar or bcycle around downtown!
