A Walk in the Woods

Public – Join us for an hour and a half quick-paced hike through some of the lesser-known (and more adventuresome) trails.

Join us for an hour and a half quick-paced hike through some of the lesser-known (and more adventuresome) trails.   Trails that wind through the woods, offering a true outdoor experience with twists, turns, and even some gentle inclines.

As you navigate the wooded terrain alongside the Bayou, you’ll have the chance to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion for the outdoors. It’s the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs, enjoy the scenery, and forge new friendships in the heart of Houston’s natural beauty.

About the Hike:

We’ll hike about 3-4 miles. We’ll hike at the pace of the group, but you should be able to hike a 25-30-minute mile. We’re a no-drop group. That means we make sure everyone who starts the hike with us finishes the hike with us, and you won’t get lost on the trail. 😄

What to bring:

  1. Sturdy shoes for the hike; comfortable shoes for after the hike
  2. Water
  3. Sun and bug protection
  4. Layers

Fees: The hike is free, but the parking is $2.00

Parking: $2.00 parking fee.

The parking lot is connected to the running center, but we aren’t meeting there. When you get the T in the parking lot, turn left and go to the end. We’ll meet at the Pavilion at the end. See map below.
