“Lake Livingston State Park is pleased to announce that we have partnered with EarthQuest to offer a unique and fascinating “Birds of Prey” program on Saturday, March 24th, 2018.

EarthQuest is sending out a well-respected and experienced falconer to give two presentations on these magnificent and amazing birds. During each presentation, the falconer will showcase several different birds of prey and the adaptations that enable these birds to be “masters of the sky”. Many of the birds will even take to the sky to show off their amazing skills of flight and to demonstrate how they spot and catch their prey. One presentation will begin in the morning and one in the afternoon (exact times TBA later this month). Between the two presentations, falconers and rangers will be on hand for photo ops and to answer questions and share information on the birds. EarthQuest is providing the park visitors this experience at no cost to the park and will be asking for donations to further their mission of education, and to provide for the rescue and care of birds of prey.

EarthQuest is a non-profit environmental education organization, dedicated to the education of the public as to their impact on the natural world. Their website is: http://earthquest.org/.
