DIY Camping
Intermediate Only. Camping is first come, first serve. The overflow camping is free but there is not water or electric. We’ll try to get enough space for the group.
We spent the spring teaching Camping 101 and going on Dutch Oven camping trips for you to learn hands on and get ideas for your own trip! Now it’s time to put it into action!
Experience Level: Intermediate
- Must have camped before
- Must be able to setup your tent by yourself
- Must know how to handle yourself in cold, heat or rain. (it’s Texas… it can do any of these in April)
- Must know what to bring on your own
- Must be willing to ‘play it by ear’ – sites are first come, first serve so we don’t know details until we get there.
Water Camping with Restrooms are first come, first serve. The overflow camping is free but there is not water or electric. The goal is to get the Water Camping sites.
If we grab an actual camping site, there are bathrooms and showers. 2 tents per pad, max 8 people. $15 per night.
Bring your own food, water and supplies. Plus Cash to share the cost of the campsites if we get the official spots or if you want to be able to shower.
Arrive anytime before 10pm.
Camp fires are allowed if you create a fire ring around the fire.
We’ll spend Saturday and Sunday hiking on the Lone Star trail!
