Kayak Armand Bayou

Down in the Clear Lake area, there is a cool place to paddle, Armand Bayou. It was one of the first places I paddled in Texas and I made great friends during that event.

Now that it’s cooler outside, we shouldn’t see too many alligators but Armand Bayou is known for having many alligators.

Experience Level: All Levels

Since the bayou is flat water, it’s usually a good place for beginner paddlers.  We might experience a headwind (and sometimes the wind shifts and you get a head wind in both directions.

We’ll paddle out for about an hour and then turn around and paddle back.

Not Dog Friendly… because of the alligators.
