No Limit Texas Hold’em… The only way to play poker!

What’re your favorite hand?  Pocket Aces, going for the straight on the river or just a plain ‘ol 8/2.  😉  No matter if you play will skill or luck… join us for a fun game of poker!

$20 buy-in.  We’ll pay out for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.  Amount of winnings depends on the number of people who show up.

RULES:

Antes:

The person to left of the delear puts in the little blind (1/2 the ante for the hand).   The person to the left of the little blind is the big blind (full ante.)  This means you have to place your bets before for you see pocket cards (the two cards you keep facedown.)

After we play for about 30 minutes, we’ll start raising the blinds about every 15 minutes.

Raises:

To raise, you must raise at least the amount of the current ante.

Folding:

If you fold and the hand is still in play, do not show your cards.

The Hand:

Pocket Cards (Hole Cards):

Everyone is dealt 2 pocket cards (or hole cards).  You do not show these cards.  Your goal is the make the best 5 card hand using any combination of your 2 pocket cards and the 5 cards that will be dealt in the middle.

Just using your 2 pocket cards, you can check (no more money in the pot), bet (min bet = current round ante), fold (discard your hand without showing anyone, even people not playing.)

The Middle

Everyone gets to use the cards in the middle.

The Flop

3 cards are turned over at once and placed face up in the middle of the table.  You can check, bet or fold.  If anyone before you bets, you have to call to stay in the hand.

The Turn

Once the pot is good after the Flop, 1 more card is turned over face up in the middle. You can check, bet or fold.

The Flop

The last card in the middle is turned over.  Now everyone has all of the cards to make the best 5 card hand as possible.  You can bet, check or fold.

All In

All In means a person is betting all of the money that they have to play that round.  If they win, they double their money.  If they lose, they are out of the game.

No Re-buy Ins

Once you lose all of your money, you’re out of the game. You cannot buying for money.  If we have enough people, we can start a losers game.
