Ren Fest Camping - Pirate Adventure

Lets go camping at The Renaissance Festival. You may not have even noticed it, but there is property along side the Ren Fest in walking distance where you can camp out for the weekend! I have been doing this for a few years now and it is one big party out there. I don’t know if I will ask for a half day for Friday or just take the whole day off. Depends on how many people we will have and how much of a space I need to try to claim without stepping on a Clans toes.

This will be a DIY camping trip. You will need to bring your own food, drinks, snacks, coolers, chairs, tent, etc….

A few notes:
* There is a place at the entrance where you can re-fill water.
* October has been pretty hot these past few years out there. Just be aware of the amount of water you are drinking especially if you are dressed up and especially if you were drinking the night before. I have come close to passing out from the heat in my pirate gear.
* NO GROUND FIRES. I have a small fire pit we can sit around. If anyone has a larger one that would be great!
* There is firewood for sale at the front of the camp property, but it is pretty pricey. We will need people bringing firewood, unless they are willing to pay $10 per bundle.
* I have one canopy. Please bring your canopies if you have one.
* Cooking – I have a small charcoal grill. I don’t mind sharing the heat. If you have a small grill or the propane burners please bring that. Although it is DIY for food we can share a cooking area/propane/charcoal.
* There are showers at the camp entrance…. I don’t know how much they are and usually a line.
* Weather – Camping out there in the rain is not very fun. It gets muddy real quick and the flat camping areas are taken very fast! Just a heads up.

Pricing:
* Single cars & truck/tent campers: $35 (Gate) / $25 (Online)
* Vehicles with travel trailers: $45 (Gate) / $35 (Online)
* Large vehicles & travel trailers: $55 (Gate) / $45 (Online)

We get FREE RenFest Tickets (Not Camping) through HTXO. How cool is that!? You HAVE to have an entry ticket into the actual festival to show the camping entrance people. Camping tickets you can purchase at the door or online. There is a little bit of savings for purchasing online.
