Texas Renaissance Festival

Watch the shows, check out the shoppes and support the local artists. The theme for the weekend is Oktoberfest!

The theme for the weekend is 1001 Dreams!

“Faeries, elves and other fanciful creatures bring enchantment to the lanes of New Market Village. Show off your magical finery in the fantasy costume contest or test your endurance in the fiery dragon-wing eating contest.!”

You can dress up or not, either way, you gotta try the large Turkey Legs or Fried Oreos.

The pipes are calling you to don your kilt and tartan, grab your bonnie lass or laddie, and join the King and Queen for a celebration of the joys of Scotland. Enjoy a Scotch egg, dance a reel to the pipe music of Tartanic or Drones-n-Drums, find a wee something special in our over 400 shoppes, or try your luck in our themed contests- the Bonnie Knees Costume Contest, or the Haggis Eating Contest.

Watch the shows, check out the shoppes and support the local artists.

Free Tickets for Members Only (not guests):

We have free tickets for members!  The first people to RSVP get the free ticket.  If your plans change, let us know so we can give the ticket to someone else.

You can bring a guest but they have to buy their own ticket.  The free tickets are for members only.  If we have extra, closer to the event, we’ll open it up to guests.

Meet Sarah at the north entrance and please be on time. If you’re late we’ll try to leave the tickets at Will Call under Sarah’s name.

Parking can be very congested.  Allow plenty of time to park and find the meeting location.

Parking:

  • north side of the Festival on FM 1774 from Plantersville.  There are two ways to get to the Festival from this direction.
    1. Take I-45 north to Conroe, Texas and exit onto HWY 105 east. Go approximately 25 miles on HWY 105 to Plantersville and turn left onto FM 1774.  The Festival is only 6 miles south on FM 1774.
    2. Take HWY 290 east to HWY 6 in Hempstead, then go north on HWY 6 to Hwy 105 in Navasota. Take Hwy 105 east approximately 15 miles to Plantersville.  In Plantersville, turn right onto FM 1774 and go south for 6 miles to the Festival entrance.
  • Ignore the apps! Many directional apps and GPS systems will suggest alternate routes to avoid heavy traffic coming to the Festival. These routes may take you through residential areas or private roads that are closed to festival traffic.  If you take these alternate routes, you may find yourself forced to turn back and go the back to the main route, costing you even more time.  Please follow the directional signs and routes indicated by law enforcement and traffic control.
