Canceled: Tubing the Comal River

 

Let’s tube the Comal River.  Flow is good and temperatures are better.

Floating time is between 2-3 hours.  The optional day pass gives you unlimited trips for the day.

Bear in mind anything you bring you should be willing to lose; the river is famous for claiming items.  I suggest bringing a bag to attach to your tube to put inside anything you need.  If you have a rope bring it to attach all the floaters together and avoid getting separated.

We can all pay for a cooler to put our beverages and snacks.  Rules include no glass, no plastic containers 5 oz or less (no jelly shots), no kegs, and no styrofoam items.  I’ve seen law officials inside the water checking people for those items.  I suggest bringing just cans.

What to bring: sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, beverages, snacks.

Price: $20 per tube, with or without bottoms.  Prices include a single trip for one down the Comal River, plus a shuttle trip back.  Additional $5 gets you an all-day pass (unlimited trips).  A cooler attached to a tube cost $25, ice included.
