December 2018 Event Highlights

Wow! December was jam-packed for HTXoutdoors members! As usual, our event leaders outdid themselves with multiple events every weekend plus an event nearly every night of the week. The calendar was loaded with events like Urban Hiking along the bayous and in parks, Bouldering and Rock Climbing at Momentum, and Socials at some of our favorite hangouts.

A few highlights from the December calendar:

Trail Hiking

On the weekends we hit the trails in and around Houston for some good ol’ fashioned hiking.

Axe Throwing

Always a crowd favorite and sells out quickly! We channeled our inner viking by learning a few different ways to throw an axe, playing some games, and socializing.

Camping at Colorado Bend State Park

Right before the holidays, we went camping at Colorado Bend State Park, northwest of Austin. Everyone had a great time exploring the park and all it had to offer, including 35 miles of trails, waterfalls, and caves - despite the cold!
