Camping Palmetto State Park
Cool off this summer! We’ll spend the weekend in cool, clear river!
Camping close to Houston! You don’t have to drive too far for this one and you can cool off in the river.
The park is nice and there are plenty of shaded areas. A little hiking and river. Grab a tube or chair and let’s relax!
Member Only Information:
We got the group site area! This group site is amazing because it’s right next to the water, it’s really large and it’s completely away from other campsites! So excited about this group site.
Example of Food Menu (We decide the menu based on who’s attending and # of people):
- Breakfast: Eggs, Bacon/Chorizos, Potatoes/Tacos/Bagels, Fruit, Coffee
- Lunch: Sandwiches or chicken wraps
- Dinners: Amy’s Chili, Beef or Veggie Fajitas
- Snacks: Brie Cheese, Hummus & Veggies, Fruit, Nuts, Dips, and chips
- Desert: Smore’s, Brownies
Drinks BYOB. We’ll have coffee and tea. Plus creamer for coffee.
You will have access to the snacks and lunch ingredients throughout the day so you can grab what you need if you get hungry.
If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP. We can create Veggie, Vegan, Gluten-Free, etc options. If you don’t eat beef/pork/etc we can make that happen but please note, we’re not “kosher”. So our pots have had meat in them previously.
NOTE on food restrictions. If you request something specific, you must eat what we made for you. So if you request gluten-free and we make a really good mac and cheese, you can’t have the mac and cheese. We put a lot of effort into the menu and to ensure there is enough for everyone, please select a restriction if you will stick to it.
