Exploring Brazos Bend

Brazos Bend is a place that still looks amazing to me even in the winter! We will do about a 5 mile hike or so at a pace of 20 – 25 mins per mile. Depending on the speed of everyone who comes, we can break into two groups if needed.

Brazos Bend is a place that still looks amazing to me even in the winter! We will do about a 5 mile hike or so at a pace of 20 – 25 mins per mile.  Depending on the speed of everyone who comes, we can break into two groups if needed.

After hiking, let’s have a picnic in the park!  Bring your lunch to enjoy in the park.  On the way out, we can check out the nature center… they usually have some baby alligators, snakes and some other critters to learn about.

Meet at 40 acre lake parking lot.  It’s the first parking lot on the left after you enter the park.

Consider getting a state park pass. It’s about $70 for a 1 person pass.  The pass gets your entire car into the park for free.  Otherwise, it’s about $5-$10 per person depending on the park.  Plus you get discounts on camping sites.
