Hiking Purgatory Creek Natural Area
Stunning upland meadows, juniper groves, tall canyon bluffs, and bountiful champion oak trees for shade. The park is home to countless species of wildlife, including white-tailed deer, and the trails are all relatively flat with just a few gentle rolls.
The destination for serious mountain bikers and trail runners looking for the technical difficulty of avoiding rocks and tree roots as the trail is a natural surface single-track. More than 12 miles of trail flow uphill to the Valencia Way trailhead. Popular trails are Dante, Beatrice, Ovid, and Ripheus.
