Backpacking @ Lost Maples SP

The best place in Texas to see fall leaves!

These spots are hard to get.  In fact, all weekend during prime foliage are already booked!  I managed to get us a couple of spots. SPACE IS LIMITED!!  We can only have 6 tents (depending on the size) but we can have up to 16 people.

Pricing includes campsite only.  You should bring all of the food you want with you, in a way you can carry.

 

Beginner Backpacking:  You should know how to backpack but need practice carrying gear and camping with limited items.  Since there is no event leader assigned yet, you should not rely on someone else helping you.

Arrival & Departure Information:

Arrive anytime you want on Thursday.  You can leave after work and arrive late so you have a full day on Friday.

Depart anytime on Sunday.  The pricing is the same if you can’t stay all nights.  Let me know in the notes section which days because if other people want to fill the days you can’t go, we might be able to work something out.

Items you need:

• Tent
• Sleeping bag
• Head Lamp or light source
• Camp Chair
• Water
• Water bottles or hydration pack
• Sunscreen
• Bug Spray
• Food / Water – there are places to refill water… bring a water purifying system.
• Clothes for daytime and warm clothes for night
